Where to go from here

Call me.
If you have a spare 15 minutes, find a private place where you can comfortably chat with me for a bit. You can anticipate me asking you to briefly share the reason you’re seeking help from someone like me. I don’t expect you to share every detail, I just need enough to know whether or not I’m confident I can help you achieve your goals. If I can’t help, I’ll try to connect you with one of my trusted colleagues. I’ll also need to know your contact information and date of birth.
Please know that I get several spam calls a day so there is a good chance I will not answer. I will call you back if you leave a voicemail or (better yet!) send me a text message.

Text me.
If you feel more comfortable texting me, go for it. I usually respond faster this way (I’m not always available to answer phone calls). During this exchange, you can expect me to set up a time for a brief phone consultation. See “Call me” to learn how to prepare for a phone consultation.
-
Leave a voicemail.
In the event I’m unable to take your call, please leave a message on my confidential voicemail. It helps for me to know your name, contact information, and how you’d like me to help you/what you’re looking for. I typically return phone calls within 48 hours.

Email me.
All emails go directly to me and no one else reads them. You’re welcome to share as much or as little as you prefer, but I need a general idea why you’re reaching out. This helps me determine how I can help meet your needs.

Browse my site.
One of the most common factors cited for therapeutic success is the relationship between therapist and client. Finding a match is important. Browsing my site, if you have not done so already, allows you to get a feel for my personality, skillset, clinical interests, personality, and training.

Commence the waiting game.
Whether you’re waiting for me to get back with you or you’re waiting for your initial appointment, this is when the waiting starts and can sometimes be challenging. I have put together an article to help you prepare for your first session (even if it’s with a different provider).
